I haven't played around with watercolor paints for a while. So the background of this cover page didn't blend in as much as I would have liked. Although that is ok. the beauty of bullet journaling is that I get to try different mediums and realize when I haven't been practicing enough of one. It doesn't have to be perfect. As long as I keep practicing my passion for art, progress is bound to happen.

The beauty of watercolor backgrounds is that it doesn't have to be perfect, and it can be loose, and just let the colors mix and do their own thing. Then using a black marker, draw your illustration and your Bullet journal August cover layout is complete.

I love drawing and painting florals, and flowers add beauty to any theme. So in my monthly calendar spread, the watercolored flowers and leaves just brought life onto this page.

The calendar layout is slightly different; I didn't draw boxes for each day but instead went for horizontal lines. I loved the simplicity of this layout, and you can never add too many quotes in your bullet journal. So anytime you have empty white space in your bullet journal, opt for an inspirational quote or even a word.

bullet journal August weekly layouts

When planning your bullet journal August weekly layouts, consider how much space you need for planning. Bullet journaling is all about customizing your designs to suit your needs.

I use my weekly spreads more than my monthly calendar. My calendar spreads usually have a few important events, such as a birthday or an appointment.

However, weekly pages can include:

  • to-do list
  • appointments
  • feelings
  • moments I want to remember
  • thoughts and ideas
  • memorable moments

Try different layouts and see what you like. Use these for inspiration, and if you want to see more, head over here next: 19 Bullet Journal Weekly spread ideas- how to create beautiful layouts.

Suppose you like to surf the net for bullet journal inspiration, then it will be no surprise how popular calligraphy fonts are. Don't get me wrong; I'm a vast calligraphy fan. But calligraphy needs time, patience and sometimes I want to switch it up.

So this font is pretty to recreate and has a beautiful aesthetic vibe, which paired perfectly with my street light theme. Feel free to save it and give it a try in your next Bujo theme.

street light bujo mood tracker

Mood tracker spreads are the perfect opportunity to get creative with your spreads, and you can have so much fun with them. I enjoy the process of making a mood tracker spread even more than actually using it.

First, start by drawing a circle in the middle of your page. Draw a simple illustration that ties in with your monthly theme.

Then, extend different sized dashed lines from your drawing, ending them with a small circle.

I used a color-gradient key to represent my mood from happy to sad.

So simple, yet I loved the layout. So much so, I had to create a free printable that is available for all subscribers. Head over to the Resource Hub and grab this printable and more. We are always updating new printables for our subscribers.

Staying consistent in anything needs persistence. Trackers are perfect for keeping track of specific tasks or habits you want to practice regularly.

How to use a monthly habit tracker spread?

  1. Figure out the tasks or habits you want to practice consistently - Tasks can be anything from taking your daily vitamins to learning a new skill such as painting.
  2. Create a layout, usually, some visual chart that you can fill in during the month - Your layout can be as creative as you like or minimal and to the point.
  3. At the end of the month, track your progress - Having a visual chart to track your progress during the month makes it easier to analyze how consistent you were in that specific task and how you can improve the following month.
