Use this step-by-step guide to get you creating a stunning bullet journal floral font in no time. The best part is it only needs two easy-to-draw flowers to complete the whole alphabet.

Hand-Lettering and bullet journaling go hand-in-hand. Expanding your creativity isn't just limited to drawing in your bullet journal. Lettering is a whole new world and adds personality to your spreads.

Figure out my passion and my goals. After trying so many different planning systems, bullet journaling was the only system I enjoyed using. It's not just a system that gets your thoughts together, but one of the most significant realizations that I've learned is that I could learn more about myself through bullet journaling.

So how did I learn more about myself? Through creativity and making different spreads, whether my bullet journal cover or the bujo font I was choosing. Bullet Journaling Makes you 'want' to learn new skills. Hand-lettering is a big part of the creative puzzle to put together a beautiful journal you want to use and look back at for years ahead.

While I'm in no way a pro, I don't believe you need to be.

January floral heading

This heading is easy to create and adds such aesthetic detail to your spread. You write your title in Capital letters and draw florals and leaves on the right side.

The secret to getting all the detail is one of my Bullet journal must-haves, 'micron fine line pens.' I'm pretty sure I use them in every single spread. You know it's that good when you see yourself needing to repurchase multiple times a year (unlike some other stationery products I've brought and collect dust in my stash).

The set of 6 is enough, but if you want to add more depth and detail to your drawings. I love the Uni Pin set of 11, and it is a total game-changer.

In our bullet journal journey, we have collected a huge collection of stationery along the way. This post contains an in-depth review of all of our stash and how they performed!

Front-Facing flower doodle

Bullet Journal Flower doodle

This simple floral you want to learn. It's effortless, and you can master it in four easy steps:

  1. Draw a circle with a pencil as a guide, so you know where the center of the flower is. This will also make drawing the petals easier.
  2. You want to draw 6 petals. You do not want these to be perfect. So draw different style petals by just wiggling your pencil so you achieve a not-so-perfect flower.
  3. The center bud consists of small little circles and a couple of scribbles on top (yep scribbles).
  4. Now add some details. Little lines from the center of the flower and are not the same size and some short lines and dots at the end of the petal.

That's it - Your first flower is DONE!

Side flower Doodle

This flower is essentially the same as the first, except it's a side view of the flower.

  1. Draw an oval shape with a pencil
  2. Your bud is going to be at the top center
  3. Draw your 6 petals. you want the top petals to be smaller in size and the bottom petals to be wider and larger.
  4. Add the details with different sized lines comming from the center of each petal. Some small lines at the edge of each petal. For the bud small scribbles and 3 lines ending with a small circle.

That's all we're going to need to create a full bullet journal font using these two flowers.

Choose where you want to place your florals on the right side of each letter.

Tip: When placing your florals, keep in mind that you will join them with stems to complete that letter.

You can make them in different sizes and facing different angles. It doesn't have to be exactly like this. Just have fun with it.

The final piece that puts it all together and creates the whole alphabet is some not-so-straight lines and simple leaves that are just a bunch of tiny clusters of lines on each side.

THAT'S IT!!

Tip: I used the florals, but you can use any other kind you like and create a whole different theme.

Final Tip: You can add the florals to the left or right side of each letter.

I hope you found this helpful, and I hope to have inspired you to give it a try!
