So why bother with doodling and decorating your planner? I find making your planner aesthetically pleasing will make you enjoy using it daily. Plus, taking a little time out of your day to zone out, get creative, and unload your mind is good for you!

I've added so many note doodles to my spreads, but I wanted to see how many I could come up with for this post.

It's a great exercise to encourage you to get creative, and you can mix and match many of these elements to come up with your unique note doodles.

So when coming up with these different paper note doodles, I thought of all the other papers and sticky notes I have seen in stationery stores.

Although regular notebook paper may seem tedious, drawing a miniature doodle is cute.

The next doodle is a clipboard, and I added grid paper just for fun.

The last doodle reminds me of an arrow banner with a simple shadow to add some dimension. Adding some dashed lines and check box makes a great to-do list.

  • ripped out paper from a notebook
  • vintage-inspired scroll
  • adding cute paper clips
  • postcards
  • washi tape

Drawing speech bubbles are perfect for jotting down something essential to make it stand out.

But experiment with different shapes such as love hearts, stars, and whatever else your heart desires.

You don't need to add shadows, but I find adding simple shadowing to any doodle or font takes it to the next level. Once you get the hang of adding some shades, you seem to want to add them to everything!!

Changing up the size of your bullet journal note doodles is excellent for adding variety. So, although they may have the same elements, switching up the placement will give you a different drawing. For example, you can add the binder on the side or the top of the notebook.

So by simplifying things, getting creative with your doodles is easier than you think. Just mix and match and switch things up!

I almost love drawing washi tape as much as I love using it. Then you can add simple patterns to your washi tape to finish off your drawing.

Drawing frames is another great way to add a few key points you want to remember.

My bullet journal is a great place to get creative. However, not every month has to be so artistic. I encourage you to follow your inspiration and not pressure yourself. Also, try to make it enjoyable and calming, and work with how you feel!
