Easy bullet journal fall leaves theme you need to try

As seasons change, so does our wardrobe. But what better way to welcome Autumn than an aesthetic bullet journal fall leaves theme?

So get cozy, make yourself a warm drink and let's see how this month's bujo theme is perfect for fall (my favorite time of the year!)

Before starting any monthly layout, choose colors representing and setting the right mood for your theme.

So back to this monthly page—a cozy, mustard, oversized knit jumper, books, and a teacup full of fall leaves. With a wooden background that ties all the colors together, this page is screaming Autumn.

I have a set of Muji washi tape and used it to make the book cover.

Pro tip: always look through what you already own. You would be surprised at what you can find, or it might spike an unexpected idea.

Bullet journal September calendar and goals page

september calendar page and goals page with autumn leaves

My September calendar spread was basic black and white, with a lovely quote saying,' just like the seasons, people change.'

However, on the corresponding page, I made an envelope using washi tape once again.

A quick tip: when using washi tape, draw in a pen (a light pencil won't show through), then cover the whole illustration covering it. Now get an Exacto knife, careful start cutting using your drawing as a guide, and make sure not to add too much pressure, so you don't dent or, even worse, cut through your page.

I drew an old looking page out of the envelope and titled it 'Goals'

Dutch door

bullet journal weekly fall leaves Dutch door spread

We are getting obsessed with creating Dutch doors. It's so exciting and so much fun to create a layout that is unique and different. We pasted Kraft paper on each end of the spreads (excluding the middle page).

I get lost knowing which term to use, fall or Autumn? Lol. Then we drew fall leaves all along the middle page, with some berries in between. You want to draft your complete layout first in pencil before you proceed to cut the page. To make sure you are happy with everything. Once completed, slowly cut around the edges of the leaves. It does not have to be perfect, and even if there is some white space, it will still look beautiful.

Just don't overthink it, and your Dutch door layout will be ready to be filled in with all your weekly plans.

two-page weekly layouts

In the first weekly layout, you dedicate the middle of the two pages for your drawing and then add your dailies. It's pretty simple, and it is always a favorite.

As for the second layout, I drew the daily boxes going down at an angle. It was the first time I attempted this layout, and I was pleased with how it turned out. I drew a coffee cup with some Autumn leaves, and my favorite part of the whole spread was the quote:
'If you fall, I'll be there. -FLOOR'

This quote made my day and put a smile on my face every time I read it.

In The last weekly spread of September, I drew a mini-calendar in the center of the page then drew a simple fall wreath around it. Relatively minimal, but it still gives me that Autumn vibe.

Fall leaves mood tracker spread

bujo fall leaves theme with umbrella mood tracker spread

I first drew an umbrella in a black ink pen and then covered it in wash tape; using the same method I mentioned, I began to cut the edges carefully so as not to go through the page. I then drew leaves out of the umbrella for every day of the month. A straightforward spread to recreate, so don't hesitate to give it a go!

Bullet journal fall leaves habit tracker

bullet journal fall leaves theme habit and water tracker spread

I usually track no more than four habits just because it can be too overwhelming.
This month I chose:

  • Migraine
  • Plants
  • Bujo
  • No sugar

I colored the background with a Tombow Marker, leaving the days of the month empty. And of course, I added more Autumn leaves to complete the spread.

Water Tracker

I chose to add this spread because I seriously have a problem with drinking enough water every day, and I don't know if anyone else encounters this problem. My sister jugs down water all day, and I have to force myself with every sip. So a tracker seemed suited to encourage and remind me to take better care with my water intake.

Well, that's it for my August Bullet Journal fall theme monthly setup. I'm so grateful you stuck around and hope it encouraged or inspired your next theme. Please don't forget to pin this for later :)
