Trying out different lettering fonts every month pushes me out of my zone of learning modern calligraphy. So this month's theme, I went for a quirky and fun style Monthly header covering my two-page spread. I love adding twirls and mixing uppercase and lowercase letters to achieve a loose style, no fuss lettering fun.

I always seem to love hanging things from everything! And that is the main aesthetic of this theme. If you look closely, there are:

  • Hanging chains from the letter ‘S’ that features a rock with a little calendar
  • Ribbons hanging from the arrrow
  • Feathers
  • Gems
  • Rope twirly and dangling which then dangle more chains and rocks

I found this theme so relaxing and didn't have to think much about it. And to match my twirly font, I decorated the end of my arrows with swirls of pink, purple, and a touch of gold.

I decided to add tabs, so I drew rocks and colored them in with my theme colors on each month's spread, and cut them out.
Adding tabs makes jumping to a specific spread easy, and I love how it looks ☺️.

I used Tom-Bow markers, but use whatever you have on hand. Just choose a few colors that are cohesive and go for it.

September Pink Arrow Calendar Spread

I drew a giant arrow at the top of my spread, so there was enough room for my calendar. I then lettered September in the middle. Feathers are so much fun to draw! and to make it easier, outline the feathers in a black marker and then fill them in different colors.

I wrote the letter of each day of the week inside a rock. Then I hanged them from rope and gems.
Finally, I added gold touches with my favorite Sakura gold gel pen to tie in my theme colors.

You can never go wrong with adding florals to any spread. So after drawing my arrow, I filled the background with leaves and florals. The other half of the page was four boxes for the first week of the month.

If you want to learn how I draw these arrows. Head over to this post where I show a step-by-step guide on how to draw these flowers:

I'm using an A5 dot grid notebook. It is so tedious to count the dots every time to make my layout. That is why I decided to make a grid-spacing cheat sheet that I learned from Amandarachlee, print, and laminate it. And it's available in my Resource library if you are interested. It makes life so much easier, so head on over there 👉 and grab your copy!

september pink theme weekly spread page idea

I was inspired to try out this weekly layout from my Pinterest feed, and I'm so happy I did. I love that I have a dedicated section for random Ideas and a comprehensive weekly to-do list. I'm constantly switching it up because that's just the way I like it. If you prefer sticking to a specific layout that works for you, that's ok 👍.

I find using different mediums in my bullet journal the perfect way not to get bored. So while I love stationery and paper, I also try and practice my art digitally. So I made these fun stickers in Procreate on my Ipad. I then printed them out on some sticker paper, and I just drew random gold dots to add something extra.
Of course, I had to add it to the resource library. So you can create a quick aesthetic spread in no time!

In my third weekly spread, I decided to letter Faith in the middle of my arrow. Using the stickers I created for the letters of each day, I added a small calendar and a small section to jot down goals for myself.

Bullet journaling has thought me that writing down your goals, thoughts, ideas and so on; helps you in a journey of actually persuing those tasks rather than just forgetting about them. It helps in my art progress and gives me that extra nudge to be more productive.

Bujo Weekly layouts with quotes

My fourth weekly spread has an arrow right in the middle of the page. More twirly details and a quote I saw on Pinterest: 'Anything that costs you peace is too expensive.

Adding quotes to my spreads is my favorite part of bullet journaling. It is motivating and great for reminding yourself of what's essential in life. If you are interested in more quote inspiration, then be sure to read this post next:

Finally, my last weekly layout! I doodled cute pink arrows and lettered them each with the day of the week. Because there were only five days for the last week of the month. I decided to add another quote "Don't look back, you're not going that way".

Bullet journal pink arrow theme Habit and Mood Tracker

I combined this month's habit and mood tracker in one illustration. I dangled my habits from my arrow and used the leaves as my mood tracker. Better yet, it's a free printable in my resource library 😁.
